Majority of the participants of All Parties Conference (APC) have apprehended a negative public reaction in case the participants fail to evolve a clear anti-government strategy. According to sources, Sheikh Rashed said he will be the first one to tender his resignation in case the parliamentary parties of the APC are ready to resign from the assemblies. He further warned the participants that the opposition would get discredited in case it fails to come up with a solid strategy, the sources added.

They pointed out that he had no doubts that Nawaz Sharif was behind the amendment to the law relating to Khatm-e-Nabuat. The sources said Sahibzada Abu Alkhair Azad of JUP suggested to hold four different public rallies in all provinces before holding a sit-in in Lahore. Parallel sits-in should be organised in different cities like the one held by Labbaik Ya Rasoolillah, he added. The sources said Dr Qadri preferred to invite PPP, PTI, MQM, PSP, JI and PML-Q to the APC while rest of the parties were unable to get due respect. One reason behind this discrimination was sitting arrangement for the participants.
